CMO for SCP [Post r3]
- Mostly sticks to Site 3 (because lmao he gotta fuck with Sherlock), but can often be seen on the site where Mayuri is located due to ███ ████ ████ ██████.
- Has mostly gone back to what he was personality-wise, but still doesn't remember any of the third round.
- Spends a lot of time on the internet, surprisingly enough. He's been seen doing a lot of coding lately.
- ██ a ███████, having █████ ███████████ ████ ███ given ██ ██ ██████ ██ ██████ for ███ ███████ of ███ ██ ████████ ███ ███ ████ ██ the island. However, he ██ █████████ █ ██████ █████, waiting for ███ ██████ ████ ██ ██████.
-Has gotten very chummy with the in-universe staff and generally been pleasant and willing to work with the foundation, hunting down and even neutralizing some SCP's that couldn't be contained.
-Is not allowed to go near any other AI SCP's after what happened to 079, though this does not include the eyephones.
-He has absolutely started to put his fingers in all the pies and set up his web.
- His name on the chat program is '128 Nemesis'.

Most likely via his stupid coffin submachine gun, as well. Still, he can be polite and civilized as long as the other man can be - he's from victorian era london, he's well versed in the art of chilly politeness and subtle snide remarks.
His eyes narrow as he mentions the latter part, but he keeps his expression carefully neutral.]
I am no one's toy, Scientist. And I assume 'reiatsu' is referring to the mana we Servants must live on? If so, then it's most likely that you're merely feeling our Saint Graphs.
no subject
Oh I am sure my dear colleague would beg to differ. And... in a way. It's more like... the very power of your own soul. Or, rather, the pressure it exerts on the spiritual particles around it. A translation of "reiatsu" is, indeed, "spiritual pressure". We Arrancar, as well as Shinigami and Quincy, use this sixth sense of ours to track and detect others. But enough about that... what is this "Saint Graph" you speak of?
no subject
[He raises an eyebrow, now slipping fully back into the polite banter he tended to do when he was alive. This man - felt a lot like some of the doctors in London's seedy underbelly, doing things with glee that society would never accept.]
...What would you say to an exchange of information? I will tell you of Saint Graphs, and you tell me exactly what 'Arrancar' are.

[He gives a small, polite smile - though it doesn't reach his eyes at all.]
A Saint Graph is...well, to put it simply, it is the 'core' of a Servant's being. It is where our 'selves' are stored, and if it is undamaged, we can be easily re-summoned with all of our memories intact. All Saint Graphs share the same point of origin - that is to say, the Throne of Heroes - and all Saint Graphs are, in essence, the same.
...To use a somewhat inelegant metaphor - think of two playing cards in a deck. While they are most likely different numbers and suits, they are still undeniably playing cards belonging to the same set.

[As Moriarty speaks, Szayel takes out his favorite purple pen and flips to a blank page on his clipboard, scribbling notes as he goes. This isn't what he traveled to Colorado for, but... well. All information is good information, as far as he's concerned.
He speaks, but it's mostly to himself]
I see, I see.... so "Saint Graphs" are analogous to... a soul, of sorts. Yet even more persistent and immortal. Or perhaps, more like a master copy, stored safely in another dimension -- this Throne of Heroes. Hmmm... Ah...! Like a shortcut, or an alias, on a computer. Clever, clever... it allows these "Servants" to persist safely and indefinitely... as long as the Throne remains...
[he looks back at Moriarty over his clipboard]
Ah, apologies, I tend to talk aloud when formulating theories. Now, what was your question? About Arrancar?
no subject
When he's finally addressed again, he nods.]
Yes - I have no idea what an Arrancar is, so since I was so kind to as tell you...
[He trails off, but the way he's talking -
no, the look in those eyes.
It might be a little familiar to Szayel...]
no subject
Well... I'm afraid I must first ask you another question -- simply to clarify, of course. What, if anything, has Kurotsuchi -- or, indeed, anyone -- told you about the world we come from? Because to understand Arrancar, there's quite a lot of other ah... "worldbuilding"? that must be elucidated.
no subject
[He doesn't seem put off by that, though.]
I've got time for this 'worldbuilding', as you put it.
[Fish you can skip it though since lmao we both know bleach]

[Szayel cracks his knuckles and TAKES OUT A FRESH PIECE OF PAPER ARE YOU READY FOR DIAGRAMS MORIARTY.
because there's fucking diagrams as he explains souls, Hollows, Shinigami, the various planes of existence, etc. And about Aizen!! And the hogyoku! jesus christ he talks forever!!]
Now then. Now I can answer your actual question; what is an Arrancar? From the Spanish "to tear off", an Arrancar is a Hollow that has removed part of their mask and become a Shinigami hybrid. Becoming an Arrancar arrests the cycle of degradation I mentioned earlier and puts an end to the relentless hunger. But it is very dangerous -- prior to Lord Aizen's introduction of the hogyoku, a mere 5% of Hollows that attempted to remove their masks survived the process. With that powerful item, though the process had a success rate of almost 100%. Each Arrancar bears an estigma, remnants of our mask. [Szayel taps his "glasses"] ... Ah, it is also possible for Shinigami to become Hollow hybrids, but it is much rarer.
no subject
Once it's all over, he rubs his chin thoughtfully.]
Interesting...it's almost as if souls become Phantasmals in your world upon death. Not that ghosts are unusual where I come from, but they're much more mere emotions and memories powered by whatever mana the living person had in life.
I assume your origins are why you were so interested in Saint Graphs?
no subject
Ah, but now it's my turn... why might your reiatsu -- your Saint graph -- feel so similar to Holmes? Unfortunately, my sample size of Heroic Spirits is rather small... you, Holmes, and "Archer" Shirou Emiya. But I can assure you that Emiya's spiritual signature is not one I could confuse for anyone else -- not even his red-headed alternate self. I didn't mistake you for your rival because you look the same, you know.
no subject
...In truth, I suspect it is because of that we are both from the 'same point in time', so to speak. We both gained our legend from the same body of work - though Holmes undoubtedly has more than I do, as I only feature prominently in two works penned by Doyle, and am nothing but mere mentions in later stories.
[He huffs, clearly a little upset.]
Our fates are...linked, for lack of a better term, even as grossly romantic as it is. Are you aware of the story, The Final Problem?
no subject
I don't read many novels, no. I prefer the theatre.
Hilariously I read the Final Problem earlier today
[He straightens up a little, as if reciting.]
It is the end of the 19th century, in London - where a criminal mastermind has made a large, interconnected web in the seedy underbelly of the city. This Mastermind is clever enough to have evaded detection for most people, like a spider in the center of a large web. Yet, that web is able to be detected by the Greatest Detective - Sherlock Holmes, who has been chasing after the man he himself calls the 'Napoleon of Crime.'
Of course, the mastermind attempted to discourage him, to get him to call off his search - even appearing before him and talking to him frankly, warning that any attempt to destroy him will result in the criminal dragging the detective down to hell with him.
Of course, the detective laughs, and the mastermind departs.
Attempts are made on the life of the detective, and the detective and his doctor friend flee england, ultimately ending up in Switzerland. The detective has managed to catch all the criminals that made up the mastermind's web - except the mastermind himself, who he knows will be after his life alone.
Yet, the detective is content - if he can rid london of the mastermind, then he will be happy to retire in peace.
...Ultimately, the detective and the doctor end up near a great waterfall - the Reichenbach. Out of consideration for his great rival, the mastermind forges a fake letter calling the doctor back to the hotel. The detective knows it is a ruse, yet allows his friend to leave.
The doctor discovers it's a ruse, and rushes back to the waterfall...but only finds the hat the detective was wearing, along with a letter he'd written. On the path, there is only signs of a struggle before it seems to go off the edge...plunging down to the churning water below.
[And...he stops recounting for a moment, his eyes suddenly far away.
The rushing of the falls - for a moment, it's loud in ears...
But he quickly comes back, shaking his head as if to rid himself of the noise.]
The Doctor has to determine, in the end - that the Detective and the Mastermind, locked in deadly combat...slipped off the edge, and fell to their deaths.
The end.

Bravo! Bravo. Fascinating. So fascinating. In the end, their fates are left up to interpretation... The predator, and the prey. The cat, and the mouse. Ah, but which role is which...? The truth is both parts are played by both actors, isn't it? [Szayel leans back in his chair] ... Still. You are separate beings, even if you are from the same "story". Kurotsuchi is my Holmes, in a way, but our souls are not at all similar -- except that they are of the same 'universe'. Mm. [he taps his pen against his clipboard] I need more data...
no subject
Ah, if only it were that simple. For a time, yes - their fates were left to interpretation. But, eventually...the truth came out, as it always does, and another story of the detective was spun. A story set three years later, as the Detective comes back from the dead to save the Doctor.
...After all, on the falls...two men fought near a precarious ledge, and both fell.
But one managed to catch himself, and the other...
[Moriarty trails off again, his eyes far off.
One of his gloved hands tense....and then release.]
...The other fell to his death, where his back was broken on the rocks, and he slipped while immobile into the water and drowned.
Only one man returned from the Reichenbach Falls, and it was not James Moriarty.

Well. That's how it goes for us, isn't it? The "heroes" prosper... and the "villains" inevitably fail. For all his machinations and godlike power, even Lord Aizen was toppled, by a boy. [he claps his hands together] And yet here you are -- a Heroic Spirit yourself. I suppose your Throne recognizes exceptionalness, not alignment.
no subject
[That serious look suddenly gives way to a grin.]
That is the fate of all who walk the path of Evil - though we may find satisfaction in the short term, eventually Good will always win over us. The only way to defeat it is to become Good ourselves...but even that can fail, as I know from experience.
[And - he lifts a gloved finger.]
Ah, but - the Throne does not only store Heroes, but 'Anti-Heroes' as well. Those that are considered Heroes due to their stories being cautionary tales.
Before I fell, I was a professor at a well-respected University - of Mathmatics, of course - and authored a book that was summarily censored. To the Throne, my tale must have been considered cautionary enough to allow me to become a Heroic Spirit!
...Of course, it's not like I was asked beforehand! If I had been, I would have told the Throne to mind it's own bedamned business and leave me sleeping at the bottom of the falls!
